Karl-Luis Vossbeck, born in 1987 in Berlin, studied design in Mainz, Germany before he started his art studies at HBK Braunschweig, Germany, in 2017. After his first year he abandoned university to follow his own ideas of creation.

He calls his art ‚Normal Art‘, calls himself a ‚Normal Artist‘. The idea behind this term is either ironical and seriously critical, it has a lot to do with his concept of art. The ability and the process of doing, making and realizing is a big part in his works. Vossbeck starts with seemingly mundane questions but in fact they are complex and very fundamental. His multi-layered paintings are always arising through impulsively creating and destroying layer by layer. A big part of the painting process is importantly and very consciously unconscious.

Karl-Luis Vossbeck lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
